The newly elected RJD MLAs in the Bihar Assembly have chosen Tejaswi Yadav as their leader of the legislative party. As many as 25 MLAs attended the meeting on Monday and confirmed his leadership, RJD spokesperson Shakti Singh said. Party leaders Lalu Prasad, Rabri Devi, Misa Bharti and Jagdanand Singh were also present during the meeting.
RJD said that the results of the Bihar election did not correspond to the expectations of the public. The party would move to the court, citing issues related to the EVMs. Shakti Singh said the verdict is not representative of the prevailing ground-level conditions. He added that both the public and party members were finding it difficult to accept the outcome.
