Tejashwi Yadav Promises 30000 Scheme For Women In Bihar If Elected

Announcement of ‘Mai-Bahin Maan Yojana’

RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Friday announced a new financial scheme for women in Bihar. He announced that if the India alliance forms the next government, it will launch the Mai-Bahin Maan Yojana. As part of this, ₹30,000 will be credited to women's bank accounts as a Sankranti gift on January 14, he said. This comes after the current Bihar government had deposited ₹10,000 each in the accounts of 75 lakh women as a Navratri gift.

Details of the Financial Assistance Plan

According to the opposition manifesto released last week, Tejashwi Yadav has promised monthly financial assistance of ₹2,500 for women from December 1. This accounts for ₹30,000 per year for five years. He promised that in the first year after coming into power, women will get ₹30,000 directly in their account on January 14. Economic support to women and strengthened financial independence.

Promises for Farmers and Government Employees

Yadav further declared plans to support farmers and state employees. For the farmers, he promised an additional amount of ₹300 per quintal of paddy and ₹400 per quintal of wheat over and above MSP. He said the old pension scheme would be restored for the employees of the state government. He added that all government servants, including police, health, and teaching staff, would be posted to districts within 70 km of their home districts to avoid problems faced due to transfers.

Opposition Alliance Manifesto

This week, the opposition alliance in Bihar, Mahagathbandhan, released its much-anticipated election manifesto titled Tejaswi Pratigya Pran. The document outlines major commitments: a government job for every family and the reintroduction of the old pension system. The promises are intended to uplift employment, welfare, and financial stability in the state.
