Tejashwi Yadav Questions Delay In GenderWise Voter Data Disclosure

Tejashwi Yadav slams Election Commission

In a tweet on Friday, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav attacked the Election Commission for failing to release gender-wise details of voters after the first phase of polling in Bihar. The RJD chief ministerial candidate said that in previous polls, the Commission had published this data immediately after voting.

Speaking at a news conference on Monday, Yadav asked why the Election Commission had not released information about male, female and third-gender voters even after four days of voting. He said the Mahagathbandhan will not tolerate any irregularities or manipulation in the election process.

Commitment to Law and Order

Exuding confidence that his alliance would ultimately win the Bihar elections, Yadav declared that they would be taking the oath of office on November 18. Yadav said if voted to power, restoration of law and order would be his first priority. He promised stringent action against criminal elements, communal forces, and corrupt people.

Accusations Against Election Commission

Tejashwi Yadav also slammed the Election Commission, saying it was not working independently under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He went on to warn that any attempt to interfere in the election process through collusion with political leaders could amount to serious consequences for the officials involved.

Election Commission’s Response

The Election Commission reacted to Yadav's remarks and said that gender-wise details of the voters will be released after the last phase of polling. It explained that the data will be released as usual once the entire process of voting concludes.

Concerns regarding the deployment of security personnel

Yadav also questioned the deployment of police personnel to the state during elections. He alleged that 68 percent of security forces deployed in Bihar were from BJP-ruled states, which are being used to keep opposition leaders under surveillance. He accused outside political influences such as Amit Shah of attempting to control Bihar. However, he said that people in Bihar will not allow that to happen.
