Amazon To Expand Operations In Telangana With Major Investment

The Telangana Rising Global Summit unfolded as an event hosted by Telangana’s government. It witnessed an impressive collaboration among various participants. Among them is the giant cloud service provider, Amazon Web Services (AWS), which took part in an agreement with Telangana’s government. As a result of this agreement, Telangana will receive an investment worth 58,000 crore rupees (7 billion dollars) from AWS. All these efforts and interactions will help Telangana achieve its vision of a 3 trillion dollar economy by 2047.

The government has confirmed its commitment to providing full support to AWS for its expansion. The support will be rendered with regards to land allocation, connections for power, network connections, permits, and ease-of-doing-business. As a result of these developments taking place within the next 14 years, it will make India’s cloud services, AI, start-ups, businesses, and government offerings with the help of the AWS Hyderabad region an even more formidable force. It will make cloud computing and innovation strong components of Telangana’s economy.

Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy participated at an event and remarked that it’s an indication that MNCs trust Telangana. It shows that they believe they will have stable government and it will align with ‘Telangana Rising 2047.’ Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said it will enable Telangana and Hyderabad to be at the forefront as a data center destination in India. It will accelerate cloud computing, AI, digital infrastructure, job opportunities, and innovation.

The event witnessed the presence of State Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, Special Chief Secretary for IT Industries Sanjay Kumar, and AWS India and South Asia President Sandeep Dutta, among other officials.
