The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has okayed a set of decisions that look at infrastructure, economic progress , fisheries , aviation, employee welfare, and public administration—sort of one of those broad packages. These decisions were taken in a cabinet meeting that was chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. The session went on for almost three hours, and it mainly leaned into a bunch of development efforts happening across the state.
In the meeting, the cabinet went through multiple proposals and cleared projects meant to push economic growth, upgrade public services, and reinforce the infrastructure side. Along with that, several policy measures also got the green light, including changes tied to aviation, fisheries, and organ transplantation.
Amaravati eye project
The cabinet approved calling for tenders for the Amaravati Eye project, planned along the banks of the Krishna River. It is expected to turn into a good, visible landmark in the capital region, and in the same breath help tourism development.
Quantum Valley land registration relief
To make it easier for investment in the Amaravati Quantum Valley initiative, the cabinet okayed an exemption from stamp duty and registration charges for land registrations connected to the project. The stated idea here is pretty simple, lower overall costs for organizations and investors who are participating.
AP Aviation Policy 2026
The cabinet cleared the Andhra Pradesh Aviation Policy 2026. The policy is meant to nurture the aviation ecosystem and also strengthen air connectivity across the state.
Approval was granted for the draft Andhra Pradesh Reservoirs Cage Culture Policy 2025, and yes, the government also moved ahead with plans to set up cage culture units at the Madduvalasa and Yeleru reservoirs. Overall these steps are meant to back fish production, and to open up livelihood opportunities for local communities, in a more direct way.
Human Organs Transplantation Act Ordinance
In another move, the cabinet approved a proposal to bring out an ordinance, for putting the Human Organs Transplantation Act into effect. This is said to help strengthen the legal framework around organ transplantation and the related procedures.
Irrigation and Infrastructure Projects Move Forward
The cabinet approved a government guarantee for the AP Power Finance Corporation, so it can take a loan of ₹300 crore from HUDCO. The financial assistance is expected to help the corporation meet its funding needs and carry out planned activities, smoothly.
One more employee welfare decision was taken, where the retirement age was increased to 62 years for employees in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), societies, corporations, and Gurukulam institutions. This should bring these bodies, closer to the retirement-age rules already being followed in other government sectors.
