Chief Minister Visits Kuppam for Religious Festival, kind of a big thing

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu did a visit to Kuppam, in Chittoor district, to take part in the Sri Prasanna Tirupati Gangamamba Jathara. He came along with his wife and other members of the family too, so you know it was not only a one-person affair.

The Gangamamba Jathara, is a major local spiritual celebration. Every year, a lot of devotees from the nearby areas travel in and join the festivities, then they offer prayers, to Goddess Gangamamba, as is done traditionally.

Trip from Undavalli to Kuppam

The Chief Minister flew from Undavalli to the Thummisi helipad by helicopter. After landing at Kuppam, he went to see his ancestral residence that is in Kadapalle village.

During that period, Telugu Desam Party leaders plus party workers gathered in big numbers, to greet him at the venue. Supporters gave a warm welcome, and they did it enthusiastically at multiple spots along the route too.

Visit at Sri Prasanna Tirupati Gangamamba Temple

Later, Chandrababu Naidu and his family shifted to road travel, and reached the Sri Prasanna Tirupati Gangamamba Temple. Temple priests received them in line with age-old traditions and rituals.

Because it was festival time, and also because the Chief Minister was coming, special arrangements were done at the temple. Devotees, naturally gathered within the temple surroundings to see the entire occasion.

Special prayers and offerings

In the religious ceremony, the Chief Minister along with his family presented silk robes to Goddess Gangamamba. They also took part in special pujas , conducted by the temple priests.

The family didn’t just come and stand by, they also fulfilled religious vows during the visit. Temple authorities carried out the customary rituals, in front of devotees and local leaders.

The Sri Prasanna Tirupati Gangamamba Jathara holds cultural and spiritual importance in the Kuppam region. Local residents believe the festival brings prosperity and well-being to devotees.

The annual event attracts visitors from different parts of Andhra Pradesh and nearby areas. Devotees take part in prayers, rituals, and community celebrations during the festival period.
