A video shared by a Congress leader in the winter session of Parliament has created a huge controversy. Angry BJP leaders say that the video defames Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Senior Congress leader Ragini Naik shared an AI-generated video on her social media account showing Prime Minister Modi selling tea. The post received a lot of criticism and controversy.
According to the BJP spokesperson, Shehzad Poonawalla, the video insults the background of the Prime Minister. He drew a comparison with what happened in the past, saying Congress brought a dog to Parliament and even that was considered an insult.
Shehzad Poonawalla said Congress was mocking Prime Minister Modi's humble beginnings as a tea seller. He says the party struggles to accept Modi's rise from a modest background. To that end, he added that the Congress party, according to him, often criticizes the Prime Minister and has made derogatory comments in the past.
He further added that, in his perception, such acts are disrespectful and will not be pardoned by the public.
