Congress Government Achieves LongStanding Aspiration Of Telangana Revanth Reddy

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the Congress government had fulfilled the six-decade-long aspiration of the people of Telangana. He virtually inaugurated the statues of Telangana Talli installed at all collectorates across the state from the Global Summit premises in Future City.

The state government installed Telangana Talli statues in 33 collectorates across the state with a total expenditure of Rs. 5.8 crore. The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and several state ministers. Each statue has a total height of 18 feet.

Addressing the gathering, CM expressed his happiness over the unveiling of the statues of Telangana Talli. He recalled that the process for the formation of Telangana began on December 9, 2009. In fact, the Congress government has strived to fulfill the aspirations of the people during the past more than six decades. The Telangana Talli Unveiling Festival is held every year on December 9. The statues are intended to pay respects to Telangana Talli and herald the beginning of development ventures in the State.

Revanth Reddy added that the dream of self-rule has been realized and Telangana is making progress in welfare and development. He also thanked Sonia Gandhi for the effort in overcoming the challenges to create the state.

He said that the birthday of Sonia Gandhi, which falls on December 9, is celebrated along with the festival of Telangana Talli. He said the principles of Sonia Gandhi and Manmohan Singh continue to inspire government schemes and programs in the state.
