The Chief Minister, N. Chandrababu Naidu, asked all departments of the state administration to make efforts toward achieving “Swarnandhra-2047” goals. “The purpose of the ‘Poverty-Free Society’ mission is to make every family self-dependent and ensure financial security,” said the Chief Minister when listing out the “ten missions.”
Review of Swarnandhra Goals
- The Chief Minister reviewed the Swarnandhra vision goals and the progress given in the ten principles on Wednesday at the Secretariat. The faster and better delivery of services is necessary. This is because every department needs to set specific indicators and work on them. The Vision Units need to monitor the progress.
- He demanded a population management scheme. He asked the officials to figure out how 30 lakh BPL families have benefited under the welfare programs. He again reiterated that skill development and jobs should top the list. The government is hoping to provide 20 lakh jobs. All skill development and jobs related details must be uploaded on the skill development website.
Use of Technology in Governance
"All departments have to adapt technology to ensure smooth access for citizens to required services," stated the Chief Minister. He also recommended coordination of information through RTGS. He also supported new initiatives for technology, such as Clicker, which the Education Department uses.
Emphasis on Water Security
Water security is a matter that needs utmost priority. Water needs to be conserved, and the Chief Minister advised the use of water resources efficiently. He told them that there should be no disagreement on water usage. He wanted the Telugu states to become rich and strong in agriculture.
Logistics and Infrastructure Development
He stated that the logistics industry should be improved in order to minimize transportation costs. A comprehensive master plan must therefore be formulated. This includes road transportation, railways, inland water transport, seaports, air cargo services, and storage for frozen products.
Agriculture and Sustainability Support
- The CM said the government is also considering the production of organic vegetables in all residential hostels. The CM emphasized the use of technology to minimize agricultural costs. The CM demanded demand-driven crop selection, better cold storage, and food processing to support agricultural communities. An end must be brought to farmer suicides.
- Talking in the context of the ‘Swachh Andhra’ initiative, he stated that the state needs to focus on developing a ‘Circular Economy’ in order to promote quality air and water. He further stated that it is important to use the government funds allocated to ‘Swachh Andhra’ properly. Present at the review meeting were Chief Secretary Vijayanand and senior officials from different departments.
