Dont Get Involved In Drama Modi Advises Opposition

Prime Minister Narendra Modi called upon opposition parties to cooperate with the government for the country's development. He said opposition parties seem unwilling to accept defeat in the electoral process. Modi asked not to create dramas in Parliament; constructive discussions should take place, he said, during the Winter Session. He spoke to the media at the Parliament premises before the session began on Monday.

Modi said, "I hope that discussions on all issues will remain positive during these sessions. We appeal to legislators to provide suggestions and advice for the country's progress. In a democracy, everyone's opinions matter. Our conduct should set an example for new MPs. Legislatures should avoid drama and maintain a positive atmosphere. Members should not disrupt House proceedings with slogans. Opposition parties should move past the disappointment of defeat. They must fulfill their responsibilities and raise strong issues."

The Prime Minister also spoke about opposition strategies, saying the tactics deployed in the last decade were not something with which the public was any longer receptive. “They should change their approach. I am ready to offer tips,” Modi said.

This time, too, Modi underlined the GST reforms and said that the government's intention is the development of the nation. He hoped that the Winter Session would facilitate the advancement of the country toward a viksit Bharat.
