The party chief and CM Chandrababu Naidu said that elections are not won by money. It requires spreading the word about the good work done by the government, and then victory will be achieved. He said that it is one thing to get the work done, and it’s quite another thing to get it done and then bring it to people. It requires hard work compared to the times they were working as an opposition. They should be working harder compared to times they were an opposition party.
Naidu participated in a training camp for party mandal presidents and general secretaries at the TDP central office at Mangalagiri on Thursday. It seems Naidu addressed them and had a short meeting with them, an event he calls “Coffee Chat.” Naidu remembered training sessions they had during NTR’s time. According to Naidu, they conducted these sessions outside under the sun. However, he said that today’s camps are conducted inside air-conditioned rooms. Naidu directed party members to build appropriate leadership qualities for today. Naidu talked about enhancing the party at a village level, party rules and policies, government plans and progress, progress and accomplishments, and party worker respect.
Naidu added that new measures are being initiated by the party to unite leaders and workers. “Every worker should have knowledge about our party’s ideology. Based on that, there will be an increase in our followers because we will be imparting our party’s ideologies to society. The party itself has one crore active members. It’s one among the strongest parties in the country. Moreover, I believe it’s the apt platform for everyone to grasp an understanding about problems at the village level. As its president, ‘the worker is the leader’ party, I firmly believe that all my interactions with workers will be fruitful.”
Naidu added that there was a loss and failure of some systems in 2019-24. But he added that there have been restorations and improvements achieved by the current government. The systems Naidu cited include Annadata Sukhibhav, Deepam 2.0, Stree Shakti, and Talliki Vandanam. Naidu added that the government allocates ₹33,000 crore per year on social security pensions. Therefore, he said that the party needs to analyze its strength in every polling booth to know how these programs are reaching people. It should be strong in every polling booth so as to get more votes. A good leadership leads to more support. Suppose there is an appointment of a strong leader in a weaker constituency. As a result, the party becomes stronger. But on the contrary, if there is a weaker leader in a strong constituency, then the party becomes weaker.
