KTR, executive president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi, also expressed his concern over the transfer of industrial lands to private individuals at very low prices. Fact-finding teams of BRS have been visiting industrial sites to study the issue.
KTR visited the Jeedimetla industrial estate and interacted with local workers. He said land exploitation has been going on for the past six months. As per him, the policy of the current government has given a scope for the misuse of the industrial land. He called upon the trade unions to prevent further exploitation. KTR claimed the total value of misused land might be around Rs.5 lakh crore. He said public funds should be spent on the public.
KTR further cautioned industrialists against falling prey to “Ashadham Sale”-type deals. He lashed out at Revanth Reddy, accusing him of being involved in a land scam, and declared that the lands would be retrieved when the BRS came to power. He questioned the purpose for which the lands were being acquired and warned that such decisions may benefit private interests rather than the public.
