Meeting with Google and Intel
The Minister continued his U.S. tour with a meeting in San Francisco with the chief executive officer of Google, Sundar Pichai. He reviewed the ongoing work on the Google AI data center in Visakhapatnam and requested Google to consider setting up an assembly unit in Drone City.
He also met with Intel IT CTO Sesha Krishnapura. During the discussion, he asked for setting up an Intel ATMP unit in Andhra Pradesh. He also proposed establishing an Intel AI Research Center in Amaravati.
Discussion with Nvidia, Adobe and Zoom
- Lokesh met Nvidia representative Rajmir Puri. He asked Nvidia to launch a Smart Factory pilot project in Andhra Pradesh and support efforts to bring partner companies to invest in the state.
- He later met Adobe CEO Shantanu Narayen and proposed setting up an Adobe GCC centre in Andhra Pradesh. The minister also planned a meeting with Zoom President Shankaralingam to discuss setting up a Zoom development center in the state. The representatives of the organizations agreed to consider the proposals put forth by the government of Andhra Pradesh.
