Minister Nara Lokesh Addresses Party Workers In Rajamahendravaram

Warns Against the Violators of Law

  • Minister Nara Lokesh on Friday addressed a meeting of urban constituency party workers in Rajamahendravaram. He termed the "villain" who was warned by authorities that he could be arrested if he appeared, Lokesh said, threats would not cow down the party. He reminded workers of past happenings when most of similar threats came a cropper.
  • He said the alliance government would not spare anybody who takes law into their hands. "Even the best film has a small villain. We too have a villain. But our leader is safe," he said. Lokesh said that while three pages in the party's Red Book had been filled, there is more to come. He said he knew the right time to act and advised against arrogance by opponents.

Reforms from Within the Party

Lokesh explained that he had worked to bring reforms within his own party. He said he was facing challenges within the party as much with the political opponents. "We are making changes to match the times. I will also work with Chandrababu Naidu, but I follow his decisions once made," he said.

Party Workers as Family

  • He began his speech by addressing the TDP workers as family members. Naming Anji Reddy Thatha, Manjula and Thota Chandrayya among others, Lokesh says all these people were his inspirations. He says that Chandrayya's son was killed in a factional fight and that the government gave employment to his son.
  • Lokesh said, "Kuppam and Hindupur are strongholds, and Mangalagiri and Rajamahendravaram should also be strongholds in turn for the TDP.

Alliances and Future Plans

He thanked MLA Adireddy Srinivas for the challenge to contest from Mangalagiri and credited the Adireddy family with co-operating with him. Lokesh said the alliance would work together for the next 15 years.

Event Highlights

At the meeting, Lokesh gave away certificates to party workers who did well. He also got himself photographed with them and encouraged all the participants. Zonal Coordinator Sujay Krishna Rangarao, City MLA Adireddy Srinivas, RUDA Chairman Boddu Venkataramana Chowdary and constituency observer Venkatakrishna were among others who were present in the programme.
