Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh announced that, a High Court bench in Kurnool will be brought into existence pretty soon. He said this during an event in Puttaparthi, where senior leaders were there, for the foundation stone ceremony connected to the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA) project.
In the gathering, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Union Minister Rammohan Naidu, and several state ministers were also present and they all sat through the proceedings as such.
The AMCA project is being taken up over 650 acres in Puttaparthi. For the plan, the rough financial outlay is around ₹15,803 crore. It is expected to back the production of fifth-generation fighter aircraft, inside India.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu jointly laid the foundation stone for this project. Many people consider it a major step for defense manufacturing and also for industrial rise in Andhra Pradesh, in general.
Officials also pointed out that the project might generate job chances, and will probably pull in allied industries to the area, bit by bit.
While speaking, Nara Lokesh discussed the industrial progress of Rayalaseema. He mentioned that earlier initiatives from Chandrababu Naidu had helped bring automobile industries into the region. After that, he added that the AMCA project is now, another big industrial development, for the zone.
Lokesh further said the government is working on boosting infrastructure and raising investments across Andhra Pradesh. He also remarked that the “alliance government” is committed to delivering growth oriented development initiatives across the state, without delay.
Nara Lokesh talked about how Puttaparthi changed, over the past few decades… like, it wasnt always this way. He said the town had limited infrastructure and only a small population at first, and over time it sorta turned into a widely known spiritual destination that gets visitors from different countries, all the time, basically.
He also brought up the Sathya Sai Baba Airport. That one was set up in the early 1990s. Lokesh said at the start some people had doubts about it, but later it became a key part of how the region stays connected, in a more practical sense.
One of the main remarks from the event was about the planned High Court bench in Kurnool. Nara Lokesh mentioned that it would be established soon, as part of wider development plans for Rayalaseema, so the idea is more or less tied to overall progress.
He added that a proposal for a High Court bench in Kurnool has been discussed for years. Supporters feel this could improve access to legal services for people in the region, and also reduce the workload on courts that are based in Amaravati.
Lokesh said the government is still focused on regional development and on keeping administrative growth more balanced, without getting too lopsided.
Nara Lokesh also pointed out that the government is pushing for quicker approvals for projects, along with industrial expansion. He said Andhra Pradesh has been attracting a steady inflow of investments in recent months.
In his words, the administration showed fast decisions and moved projects forward sooner than expected. He called this, basically a way to make the state’s business climate better, and easier for companies to act.
The ceremony had multiple national and state-level leaders in attendance. Rajnath Singh, Chandrababu Naidu, and Nara Lokesh addressed the crowd during the event, and the whole thing was pretty much about laying out those priorities.
Union Minister Rammohan Naidu and multiple state ministers also participated in the program. The event was presented as an important milestone for both defense manufacturing and regional development in Andhra Pradesh.
