The Election Commission of India has announced the schedule for the Special Summary Revision (SSR) of the voter list in Andhra Pradesh. The process starts on June 5 and it keeps going till September 22,more or less.
In the first part, officials will deal with the setup tasks and training programs for Booth Level Officers (BLOs). This portion runs from June 5 to June 14,so nothing too rushed yet.
Then, from June 15 to July 14, BLOs will do door by door check, to verify voter particulars across the whole state. Booth-Level Agents (BLAs) , appointed by political parties, will help during this verification phase. At the same time, officials will also finish the rationalization of polling stations during the same stretch.
After that, the Election Commission will release the draft electoral roll on July 21. Once the draft is out, citizens can file claims and objections until August 20. Authorities will look into the requests and issue notices wherever required. The final answer stage , meaning resolution of these claims and objections, continues up to September 18.
Finally, the updated electoral roll will be published on September 22 once every correction and verification step is done.

Officials said the SSR process is meant to refresh voter records and ensure that electoral rolls stay correct and dependable, even if some entries are old or not synced properly, be
