The NDA alliance has announced a set of public facing outreach activities, to present the achievements and various initiatives of both the Central and Andhra Pradesh governments. in a way, the campaign is also meant to highlight twelve years of Narendra Modi’s tenure as Prime Minister, and then the last two years of the alliance government’s administration in the state, as they say.
Alliance leaders talked about the plan during a meeting held on Thursday evening, at the residence of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Attending were Jana Sena Party President and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Minister Nadendla Manohar, BJP State President PVN Madhav, TDP State President Palla Srinivasa Rao, along with other senior functionaries.
At the meeting they went over how to better reach people, and how to share government progress , plus the ongoing schemes on the ground. As alliance representatives explained, the drive will put special emphasis on social welfare work, development undertakings, and administrative upgrades taken up by both governments.
Besides that , they also discussed internal organizational issues, like campaign timing and how to coordinate among the alliance partners so everything stays in sync.
The NDA has planned three big public gatherings across different cities in Andhra Pradesh.
Welfare centered event in Tirupati
A public meeting centred on welfare initiatives is scheduled for Tirupati on June 9.
Administrative reforms event in Amaravati
A second meet, focused on administrative reforms, is planned in Amaravati on June 12.
Development emphasis in Visakhapatnam
The third gathering, highlighting development activities, will be held in Visakhapatnam on June 15.
Alliance leaders said Union Ministers and senior BJP leaders are expected to take part in these events too.
Twenty-Four Themes that will be Presented
As per Nadendla Manohar, this campaign is meant to highlight 24 big programs and schemes, that were actually rolled out in the past two years. The alliance is also thinking to show all those initiatives to the general public, and then ask for ongoing backing … even continued support in a very clear way.
Key Achievements Highlighted by Leaders
Alliance representatives said the whole push will lean on achievements tied to development works, welfare initiatives, and also the improvements in public administration. They kept repeating that the focus is not only on numbers but also on real day to day change, kind of.
Statewide Campaign Activities Planned
Apart from the three main meetings, the alliance intends to run extra activities across the state, side by side, in different places.
Programs From State Level to Constituency Level
Palla Srinivasa Rao said programs will be conducted between June 9 and June 20. Those efforts will happen at different levels, from state-wide gatherings, down to Assembly constituency programs. It is sort of a layered arrangement, as they put it.
Members from all three alliance parties are expected to take part. Organizers said participation will include senior leadership and also grassroots workers, working together without much gap.
Leaders further added that campaign activities would happen while sticking to the austerity steps announced by Prime Minister Modi. so yes, they will treat it as a discipline.
The BJP has already announced a nationwide outreach campaign that is centered on government performance over the past twelve years. So the state campaign, will basically follow that same direction.
According to PVN Madhav, the national campaign will spotlight themes like trust, development and welfare measures for economically disadvantaged communities. In short, they are framing it as something more than just announcements.
Madhav sort of said that the state campaign will, tbh, put focus on what the alliance government has been doing in Andhra Pradesh too. He pointed out investment inflows, administrative reforms, the momentum behind Amaravati and Polavaram, and also the way the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone has been put in place as kind of examples of achievements that they’d want to show during the campaign.
Then when it came to the whole political criticism part, the alliance leaders answered the recent backlash that’s been aimed at Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
On the regional tensions angle, Madhav said steps meant to create regional divisions should be avoided. He took on those comments which, in his view, could easily lead to regional hostility.
And for the remarks about alliance cooperation, Madhav, replying to criticism from some political leaders and commentators, said that the BJP , TDP and Jana Sena are still working together as alliance partners. He also mentioned that parties are coordinating among themselves on parliamentary representation and political alignment, more or less, as well.
