IndiGo faced disruption in flight operations for the fourth consecutive day. As many as 69 flights were affected. This comprises 26 flights to Hyderabad and 43 flights to and from the airport. Normal operations are expected to get restored within 5 to 10 days.
The Centre has said it is taking the flight disruption seriously. Steps would be taken to fully restore services within three days. The Railways have also taken steps to help passengers stranded at airports. They will add 116 additional coaches to 37 trains. Some express trains have already started running with extra coaches.
Nine IndiGo flights from Visakhapatnam airport have been cancelled. These are flights which were scheduled for Chennai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, and Hyderabad. As of now, 11 flights are continuing from this airport.
