State Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh said that Andhra Pradesh is positioning itself as a state focused on speed. He explained that the coalition government aims to create 20 lakh jobs for youth over the next five years. He stated that the government is visiting several countries to attract investments. According to him, the state secured investments worth Rs. 20 lakh crore within 17 months. These investments are expected to create employment opportunities for around 16 lakh people. He added that the government will implement the investment agreements within the next three months. Lokesh made these remarks during a Telugu diaspora meeting held in Dallas as part of his US tour.
Lokesh said that when former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was held in jail for 53 days by the previous YSRCP government, the Andhra diaspora offered strong support. He expressed gratitude for their solidarity. He encouraged the youth to become job creators, not only job seekers. He said that the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub will provide support to them. He also stated that students who want to study abroad will receive support under a program named “Wings of Dreams,” which will begin next year.
Lokesh said that NTR helped establish the self-respect of Telugu people across the country. He noted that Chandrababu Naidu demonstrated that development can be achieved through electoral success. Lokesh described Chandrababu as a visionary leader. He added that Chandrababu advanced the IT sector in the past and is now working to develop quantum technology. Lokesh said that the government is still working to match his pace.
Lokesh stated that Andhra Pradesh has a “double-engine government.” He emphasized the policy of one state, one capital, and the goal of decentralized development. He said the government is working on balanced growth across all regions. He added that long periods of stable government in states like Gujarat and Odisha supported their development, and Andhra Pradesh needs similar continuity. Lokesh said that Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan has assured that the coalition will work together and remain in power for 15 years.
Lokesh said the people witnessed a harmful period under the previous YSRCP government. He said many residents felt unsafe. Lokesh mentioned party members like Chandrayya, who remained loyal to the Telugu Desam Party despite threats, and Anji Reddy, who stood firm during the Punganur local body elections. He said they are sources of inspiration. He stated that the people rejected the YSRCP despite its attempts to intimidate voters. He added that the Redbook system will function effectively and that the government will not ignore anyone who breaks the law. Lokesh also said that the government will take action against those who insult his mother.
