Telangana Assembly Session Begins Revanth Reddy Meets KCR

The Telangana Assembly session has begun. On the first day of the session, members of the Assembly brought a condolence motion for the former MLAs Ramreddy Damodar Reddy and Konda Lakshma Reddy, who passed away.

The session was attended by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Leader of Opposition KCR, Ministers, and MLAs. Revanth Reddy greeted KCR and inquired about his health. Ministers Uttam, Komatireddy, and Sridhar Babu greeted KCR as well. KCR bid farewell to the Assembly following the passing of the condolences resolutions.

Important Agenda of the Meeting

Plans of the Assembly during the session include tackling a number of key topics:

  • Legal approval for the merger of the municipalities in the Outer Ring Road (ORR) into the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC
  • Rise in the number of GHMC wards from 150 to 300 based on the expanded jurisdiction.
  • Relaxing the restriction of two children in local body elections.
  • Amendment notifications related to Telangana GST.
  • Employment rationalization measures.

After the adjournment on the first day, a meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) will follow. The BAC will determine the length of the Assembly and the Council meetings.
