Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said Telangana Rising would continue as long as people support him and as long as he has the ability to lead. He said while there was one approach for the state till yesterday, there will be a new approach in the aftermath of the Telangana Global Summit. At the event on Sunday, he congratulated the people of Telangana on completing two years of what he described as successful public administration.
The Chief Minister said great goals require strong determination. He thanked the four crore people of Telangana for giving him the courage to take bold decisions and for supporting him in the last election. He said he worked continuously during the past two years to keep Telangana ahead in development.
Education was most important for a strong future, said Revanth Reddy. The State initiated the construction of Young India Integrated Model Schools, besides launching both Skills University and Sports University. These steps align with the principle of freedom, social justice, and equality.
It gave official recognition to the popular song Jaya Jayahe Telangana penned by poet Andesri. The welfare programmes it introduced include subsidized rice, Indiramma housing, 200 units of free electricity, free bus travel for girls, Rs 500 gas cylinders, a Rs 500 bonus for small grains, and a scheme that covered one crore girls in making them financially secure.
The CM explained that the government is meeting the current needs but is also planning for the future. He said a detailed document was in place as to where Telangana should stand by 2047, when India completes 100 years of independence. As per him, this is the kind of vision that previous governments failed to plan for effectively. He said Telangana Rising puts the state on the world stage and transforms it into India's growth engine. He termed the Bharat Future City project as an important one for future progress. The CM repeated once again that the priorities would change after the Telangana Global Summit. He ended with the assertion that people's support and co-operation give him strength and remain at the heart of the state's progress.
