Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said Telangana Rising is “unstoppable.” He said steps have been taken during the Telangana Rising Global Summit-2025 to achieve the goals of “Rising-2047.” The Chief Minister explained that the state aims to increase Telangana’s share in India’s GDP to 10 percent by the 100th anniversary of Independence and to become a $3 trillion economy.
He said that businessmen, corporates, policymakers, diplomats, government officials, and experts will attend Telangana Rising. He told the gathering that the ideas and views of all attendees in the conference on day one and two will be considered. Reddy further stated that Telangana hopes to be competitive with countries like China, Japan, Germany, South Korea, and Singapore. He extended an invitation to international partners for investments and cooperation regarding coordination in the Telangana Rising journey.
The Chief Minister spoke about India’s independence in 1947. He said that the Constitution had promised a bright future. The Constituent Assembly discussed the nation’s future and created a democratic, sovereign, socialist, and secular country.
Similarly, Telangana has drawn up a roadmap for its future. Drawing inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, and the Constitution framers, the state has planned Telangana Rising 2047. He mentioned that the people of Telangana fought for decades to have a state. In 2014, Telangana was formed under the leadership of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and then-Prime Minister Manmohan Singh. Now, the state is working towards becoming one of the most developed regions in India by 2047.
The state has set goals of achieving a $1 trillion economy by 2034, and a $3 trillion economy by 2047. For now, Telangana has 2.9 percent of India's population, with contributions amounting to 5 percent in the country's national GDP. These are to be increased to 10 percent by 2047.
Reddy added that Telangana would draw inspiration from Guangdong Province in China. The economy of Guangdong grew due to high investment and rapid development over 20 years. Telangana plans to enforce similar strategies. The goals are ambitious, he admitted. “If the task is difficult, we will start right away. If it is impossible, we will work even harder to achieve it,” he said. Reddy underscored that participants in the summit are partners in Telangana Rising. Their cooperation will enable the state to achieve its goals in 2047.
