The chief minister of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu, added that former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee remained committed to the development of the country after the economic reforms. He said that the governance model of Vajpayee remained stability, progress, and welfare-oriented at all levels.
Statue Unveiled on Vajpayee's Birth Anniversary
On the eve of the birth anniversary of former Indian Prime Minister Vajpayee, a statue of Vajpayee was unveiled at Venkatapalem in Amaravati by Chandrababu Naidu and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. The CM spoke at a meeting on good governance afterwards.
Leadership Quality and National Influence of Vajpayee
- Chandrababu Naidu stated that Vajpayee would remain in the heart of the people as a leader of national respect. Chandrababu Naidu stated that the leadership of Vajpayee was instrumental in forming a modern state of India.
- He also mentioned N.T. Rama Rao alias NTR. He regarded him as a source of inspiration to him personally. Chandrababu Naidu explained that there was a very close association between NTR and Vajpayee. They had collaborated when the National Front was formed. NTR had created the basis for the anti-Congress front through this alliance.

- The Chief Minister remembered how his thoughts about the need for telephones attracted criticism at one stage. However, he added that the telecommunication industry has become the spine of the knowledge economy. According to him, the development of this industry could be attributed to policies formulated when Vajpayee was the Prime Minister.
- Chandrababu Naidu also spoke about Vajpayee’s role in the conducting of nuclear tests, which was a big decision that was made for the benefit of the country. According to Chandrababu Naidu, people like NTR and Vajpayee always kept the future of the country in their minds.
