Harshit Rana Aims To Become An AllRounder For Team India

Team India fast bowler Harshit Rana stated that the team management wants him to develop into an all-rounder. He is contributing with both ball and bat and is working on improving his batting skills. On Sunday, Team India defeated New Zealand by four wickets in Vadodara in the first ODI.

Rana Focuses on Batting as Well as Bowling

  • After the match, Harshit Rana said that the team management expects him to bat as an all-rounder. “I am practicing in the nets to improve my batting. When I batted in the match, my teammates supported me, which boosted my confidence. That helped me focus on scoring runs,” he explained.
  • He added, “The team wants me to bat at number 8. I am focusing on scoring 30 to 40 runs. When the team has faith in you, the environment is positive. Seniors and juniors support you.”

Performance in First ODI

In the match, Harshit Rana performed well with both the ball and the bat. While bowling, he took 2 wickets, dismissing New Zealand openers Henry Nicholls and Devon Conway. With the bat, he scored 29 runs off 23 balls, including 2 fours and 1 six, helping Team India secure the win.
