Davos was the place where Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu along with Minister Lokesh visited and had meetings with leaders and representatives from WIPO, Google, and IBM.
CM Chandrababu Naidu invited IBM's CEO Arvind Krishna to move an IBM Quantum Computing Innovation Center to Amaravati. He wants IBM's assistance in training the youth in AI, Quantum Computing, and Cyber Security. He added that the government of Andhra Pradesh plans to give AI training to 1 million people. IBM has a target of training 5 million people in India in these areas. The IBM CEO gave a favorable reply to the propositions.
The CM had a meeting with WIPO Director General Daren Tang and Director Anil Murthy. He said that the development of the economy was depending on innovation. He set the state’s course to become the home of knowledge and the lighthouse of innovation in the comings times. Naidu has been the one passing the torch for the support of the startup ecosystem in the state through WIPO.
Besides, he tweeted that he has asked for the support of the Andhra Pradesh Renewable Energy Mission. The government plans to convert Amaravati and Visakhapatnam into global innovation hubs by 2029.
