- The Assembly budget sessions will continue until March 7. The House will conduct its meeting activities over 17 designated working days. The government intends to present new legislation which will substitute existing six ordinances during this legislative session.
- The Legislative Affairs Advisory Council (BAC) made this decision in a meeting held on Wednesday. Speaker Chintakayala Ayyannapatrudu chaired the meeting. The council decided that the session will extend beyond March 7 if the government introduces new bills.
- Several key leaders attended the meeting. Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu participated. Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav attended. Minister Nadendla Manohar represented Jana Sena. P. Vishnu Kumar Raju who leads the BJP Legislative Party participated in the discussion. Government Chief Whip GV Anjaneyu also took part. The members completed their work by establishing the budget session agenda.
Chief Minister Calls for Strict Time Management
- The Chief Minister demands effective time control from all House members. He requested members to discuss only the particular topic during their question time and Zero Hour. He recommended that members should deliver their statements in brief and direct manner. He required ministers to provide answers which should be both understandable and transparent.
- The Chief Minister said long speeches are not appropriate during question time. He indicated that members must control their behavior to maintain order during sessions. Other BAC members agreed with his views.
- The council discussed time allocation during Zero Hour. The Chief Minister proposed that the council should choose a fixed time which should occur every day. Some members proposed giving two minutes to each member. The council reached an agreement to assign two minutes for each member to speak.
- The BAC established its documentation standards through its decision. The officials will maintain accurate records of all issues which members present. Departments need to provide their answers without delay. The council decided to merge departments which share common functions. The process enables organizations to handle discussions about their related grants and demands on the same date. The goal aims to achieve less duplicate work.
Daily Schedule of the Assembly
The Assembly will follow a structured daily schedule:
- 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Question and Answer Session
- 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Zero Hour
- 10:30 AM – 11:00 AM: Recess
- 11:00 AM – 1:30 PM: Discussion on government agenda
Discussions may extend by up to two hours if required.
Each day, the House will take up ten questions during the Question and Answer Session. Members must complete all questions within the allotted one hour. The Speaker will treat all remaining questions as completed when time expires.
Detailed Agenda of the Budget Session
February 12 and 13
The House will conduct a two-day session which will focus on thanking the Governor through the motion of thanks to his address. The Chief Minister will respond at the end.
February 14
The State Budget and Agriculture Budget will be presented.
February 17
The Budget will be subject to a general discussion.
February 18
The Budget discussion will continue. The Finance Minister will reply at the end.
February 19 to February 28
Eight working days (with some holidays in between) will focus on department-wise demands, discussions, and approval of grants.
February 24, 25, 26
The Indira Gandhi Municipal Stadium in Vijayawada will host sports contests for MLAs and MLCs during the afternoon hours.
March 4 and 5
The discussion will cover both the Supplementary Estimates and the Money Bill.
March 6 and 7
Two days are designated for conducting government operations.

Cultural Evening in Amaravati
A cultural evening will take place on March 6 at the Amaravati Parade Ground. Speaker Ayyannapatrudu invited members to attend the program with their families.
