Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said his long term plan is to build a poverty free society , kind of what he called the real target. He spoke during the “Swachhandhra-Swarnandhra” program held in Narasannapeta, in Srikakulam district . In his remarks he also mentioned that social shift along with public participation, is needed for the progress of Andhra Pradesh, or at least thats how it sounded.
Chandrababu Naidu said that the government is concentrating on raising the living standards of people in Andhra Pradesh. He added that increasing per capita income is one of the key priorities for the administration , like at the top.
As per him , wealth creation together with fair distribution is necessary, if the aim is to lower economic inequality. He also said that government officers have a major responsibility to protect the image of the administration, through proper implementation of welfare programs , without shortcuts.
Naidu also stated that social attitudes need to change as economic growth happens. He went on to say that clean surroundings and considerate public conduct can help the society become better.
While speaking, Chandrababu Naidu announced financial assistance for families with more children. He said the government will provide ₹30,000 for the birth of a third child and ₹40,000 for a fourth child.
He explained that children should be treated as valuable members of society instead of being seen as purely a financial burden. He also pointed to the “Talliki Vandanam” scheme , where eligible families currently receive ₹15,000 as assistance.
Naidu said the government could raise this support in the coming period, depending on financial situation and later policy decisions.
Chandrababu Naidu said the “Swachhandhra-Swarnandhra” initiative has been moving along for the past 16 months now in Andhra Pradesh, and yeah it is mostly centered on cleanliness, waste management and environmental protection in general. He mentioned that the government is trying to nudge people into cleaner habits, while also asking everyone to keep public places properly maintained. In his view, social transformation basically starts with changes in individual conduct, like small things, but consistently.
Naidu also stated that the government is producing electricity from waste materials too. And on top of that parks and other amenities are being planned and developed, as part of this idea to turn waste into something useful resources, you know. He further called for a ban on single use plastics, so pollution across Andhra Pradesh can be reduced, in a more direct way.
The Chief Minister said the alliance government is taking steps to stop illegal occupation of public and private lands. He went on to say land disputes should be settled quickly, so citizens’ rights stay protected. Naidu criticized the previous administration and alleged that public assets were harmed during the last five years, and that it wasn’t handled well. He said the current government is trying to improve administration and rebuild public confidence.
Chandrababu Naidu said Andhra Pradesh has received investment proposals worth ₹23 lakh crore across the last 23 months. He added that these agreements are likely to generate around 2.4 million jobs for young people in the state. He also mentioned that major companies are showing serious interest in Andhra Pradesh. While talking about Visakhapatnam, Naidu said Google has been brought to the city, as part of efforts aimed at strengthening the technology sector.
According to him, industrial growth in North Andhra should create more employment opportunities and encourage migration into the region rather than movement out of it.
