CM Chandrababu Naidu Calls For Unity Between Telugu States

Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu advised Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to take a step forward hand in hand by way of cooperation and mutual respect. He claimed that the unity of the two Telugu states is a precondition for their global visibility and long-term prosperity. His comments were made on Monday at the conclusion of the third World Telugu Conference taking place in Guntur.

Common Identity and Worldwide Prosperity

The CM clarified that the Telugu folks have been able to get a pretty firm global recognition over time. The former 'Madrasis' community which is now the Telugu people has gained such recognition. He also enumerated Cyberabad IT development as one such factor contributing to position of the Telugu people strong globally. He remarked that even though the two states speak Telugu, it is still the one common mother tongue.

Inter-State Collaboration on Irrigation and Water Resources

The emphasis of told that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana could cooperate in the matter of overcoming the obstacles posed by the water shortage problem in particular, Chandrababu Naidu water management he gave as an example of the water management issue that is the Krishna river. He referred to the vision of former Chief minister N. T. Rama Rao who intended to utilize the water produced from the river Krishna through the projects like SLBC and SRBC. Naidu further stated that he completed such projects in Telangana as Kalwakurthy, AMR lift irrigation, and Nettempadu.

In addition, he told that the Krishna Delta was modernized with 20 TMC of water and this was permitted for Telangana. Besides, the Bhima lift irrigation was also mentioned by him as one of the schemes planned and executed in the Godavari basin along the projects, Gutpa, Alisagar, and Devadula in Telangana, and Pushkara, Chagallanadu, and Tadipudi in Andhra Pradesh. He even hinted at the Pattiseema lift irrigation project which ensured the water supply from the Krishna Delta in 2014.

Post-Bifurcation Development Vision

He remarked that Andhra Pradesh had made moves toward building up Amaravati and completing the Polavaram project after the bifurcation and Hyderabad's joining Telangana. He predicted that the capital city would be built up as not only a people's capital but also as a global model.

Unity Over Animosity

The Chief Minister stated that the sea would receive at least two rivers’ worth of water annually—the Krishna and Godavari—and that huge amounts of water from these rivers would be lost to the sea if the Andhra Pradesh-Telangana dispute about the Godavari water were not settled. He mentioned that the Kaleshwaram project that has been erected for the water of Godavari was primarily supported by Andhra Pradesh, which has never put objections against its usage by Telangana. He insisted that his priority has always been to guarantee both states’ access to water.

His support for river interlinking projects that included Krishna, Godavari, Ganga, and Cauvery has been a lifelong one, he reaffirmed and said. He pointed out that the country has not fully exploited its water resources and called for all rivers in Andhra Pradesh to be interlinked while inviting Telangana to draw its share from Godavari as required.

Vision for 2047

Chandrababu Naidu declared that his principal objective in life is unity among Telugu people, mainly concerning the issue of water and development. He asserted that the common identity of the worldwide Telugu community is the Telugu language. It was with pride that he stated the fact that Telugu people are distributed over two states and that this should be viewed as a strength.

He wrapped up by expressing his aspiration for the Telugu people to emerge as the leading global community by 2047 through unity, collaboration, and shared prosperity.
