The State Disaster Management Authority has put out a weather alert for parts of North Andhra, it’s kinda for the next three hours or so. Moderate rain, along with lightning could hit three districts.
As per Managing Director Prakhar Jain, Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, and Manyam may see rainfall coupled with strong winds. In some scattered pockets, wind speed is likely to go up to around 50–60 km/h.
Officials told people to keep watch and remain alert during this weather spell. They also asked the public not to take shelter under trees when lightning, plus strong winds are around.
Weather in several parts of Srikakulam district has already shifted. Gusty winds are being noticed in a few locations, which looks like an early sign of the system.
Residents should keep checking local weather updates ,and follow safety steps until conditions settle down again.
