The Special Investigation Team (SIT) questioned Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president KTR who previously served as a minister. The SIT had issued a notice to him on Thursday, asking him to appear for interrogation on Friday. KTR attended the ACP's office in Jubilee Hills for the questioning.
The same case which involves KTR began when former minister Harish Rao was interrogated on May 20. KTR is now being interrogated following the notice issued to him.
Background of the Case
The police station at Punjagutta received the case report in March 2024. The case involves accusations of unlawful phone tapping which connects to the Special Intelligence Bureau (SIB) during the BRS government term.
The investigation is currently underway under the direction of Hyderabad Police Commissioner Sajjanar who leads the Special Investigation Team (SIT). KTR’s questioning is part of this ongoing probe. The investigation has not reached its conclusion, even though the case was opened almost two years ago.
