The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) will conduct its annual Mahanadu at Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district. The event will take place from May 27 to May 29. The party confirmed the new venue because they evaluated their previous location selection.
The party first selected Srikakulam district as the host location. A site near Srikakulam town was also identified. The leadership decided to reschedule the event to a new location. The change helps avoid holding two large gatherings in the North Andhra region within a short period. A major public meeting is already planned there in late June. This meeting will take place during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to inaugurate Bhogapuram Airport.
The state president Palla Srinivasa Rao currently handles all event preparation tasks. He conducted a teleconference with Nellore district leaders on Thursday. The discussion focused on logistics and local arrangements for the event.
The party has identified three possible venues within the district. One site lies near the Kisan SEZ in the Kovur constituency. The second site is located close to Podalakur Road in the Nellore Rural Mandal. The third option is near the Golagamudi Road junction. The team is currently evaluating each location to determine its suitability.
The party will select its final venue choice within the upcoming days. Leaders expect to make their final decision on Sunday.
